We had an amazing experience at BluePearl in Kirkland. My pup, Ruthie, recently had surgery for a salivary mucocele, and she has recovered beautifully over the last couple of weeks. BluePearl was actually the most reasonable and affordable specialist clinic I contacted. They were the only place I called that didn’t insist she needed a CT scan upfront, which other clinics quoted anywhere from $3,000–$5,000 for. I’ve seen reviews saying BluePearl is expensive, but in our case, it was quite the opposite. They gave us the lowest quote for Ruthie’s situation while providing the absolute best care possible. The staff has been incredibly communicative, supportive, and reassuring throughout the entire process, and the fact that they are open 24/7 is such a comfort. Dr. Vince performed Ruthie’s surgery, and I’ve seen him personally during her follow-up appointments for drain removal and stitch removal. He has kept me informed every step of the way and has a way of making you feel completely at ease, like everything is going to be okay. We are so grateful for the amazing care Ruthie received here. Hopefully we won’t need to return anytime soon, but if we ever do, I wouldn’t hesitate for a second. Thank you to the wonderful staff at BluePearl. We appreciate you all so much!

Can’t say enough good things about this vet. In July, we were visiting Portland when our dog stopped eating, was vomiting and having diarrhea. The blue pearl in Portland misdiagnosed our previously healthy, happy 6 year old dog, and went from telling us she had 6 months to a year left to live, to the next day they told us she might not make it another 2 days. We transferred her immediately back home to the Kirkland location, where they worked hard to give her a second chance. She is currently still has CKD, but after two long hospital stays, blood transfusions, and follow up appointments, she is doing ok and still with us. Dr. Huang and the internal medicine team has been amazing- very patient with us asking questions and sending many emails- I feel like they truly care about your pet. All of the nurses and ER docs are also rock stars! I’ll never forget the ER doctor who we feel saved pipers life when I arrived a frantic mess from Portland. Since we had some long stays in the ER, We’ve spent many hours in the back kennels near all the other animals and while they are really busy, you can tell the staff cares about each one. Our dog Piper is also obsessed with all of the nurses. Another plus is they can bill trupanion directly. Thank you for giving us more time with our girl Piper, Blue Pearl! ♥️

Their thoroughness and thoughtfulness shows in everything they do - from making an appointment to followup (even many months later). Our journey as a pet parent is made better having this care team on our side!

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Kirkland was wonderful. We contacted them frantically around 3 a.m. as our dog, who had cancer, was losing a significant amount of blood from her mouth. They told us to come in right away, and upon arrival they immediately greeted us and took our dog, Bailey, back for care. Dr. Kento Kameyama was excellent. He went over everything thoroughly and answered all of our questions in detail. He delivered the difficult news that Bailey might not survive more than a few hours, and his calm, compassionate demeanor helped us process it as best we could. Thanks to his care and the prescriptions he sent us home with, our dog miraculously lived another six weeks, until we ultimately made the difficult decision to put her down. I hope I never have to rush a pet to an emergency hospital again, but if I do, this is absolutely where I’ll be going.

We had the unfortunate experience of visiting many times in the past 3 months for 3 of our pets. Our young dog broke both her legs in an accident. The attention and care she received was amazing. Dr. Engen is a very talented surgeon who was able to place metal plates in both legs and she's fully recovered. Our other two pets passed of old age and Blue Pearl was very compassionate in treating both of them. We have pet insurance but there was zero indication of suggesting unnecessary procedures and they even councelled us out of heroic measures for our very sick older pet.
