You might look at the reviews and see vastly differing opinions about Dr. Littlejohn and his staff for either a 1 star or 5 star, and it might be a little worrisome but he has been a great vet for our cat Bongie. Dr. Littlejohn is a little gruff but he really does love animals and is truly a kind person. If you treat him with respect and give him room to do his work, you can trust that he will treat and diagnose your pet well. And to address the reviews, if all of the other patients that I see interacting with him and his staff left a review, it would be overwhelmingly 5 star with only kind words to say. Vet business is hard and often times not very rewarding, so to see such a longstanding business in WP with deep roots in the community is very inspiring to see.

They leave dogs outside in any weather. I’m a neighbor, I see it all the time. It’s gotten to a point where I have to leave a review. If I was thinking of bringing my dog here, I would want to know. Picture is from right now. It’s pouring rain, dog is left outside. I called and left a message, no one has come out to check on the dog. I’ve also seen dogs in freezing temps or left in full sun on a hot day. Really concerning.

I had a very disappointing experience at O’Neal Vet in West Philly. The clinic was noticeably dirty, and my cat was mishandled aggressively during her visit. She was also misdiagnosed, which led to her developing ear mites, an issue that could have been prevented with proper care. As a concerned pet owner, I was anxious and asked questions, but the two male attendants dismissed my concerns as overreacting rather than taking them seriously. Their behavior felt misogynistic and unprofessional, and they failed to complete a full examination of my cat. This experience left me distressed and dissatisfied. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend O’Neal Vet to anyone who expects compassion, cleanliness, or competent care for their animals.

Literally the worst vet I've ever been to. Disgustingly dirty and unsanitary. The room was a huge mess when we came in and the vet was just throwing trash around. There was an uncapped syringe on the counter when we came in and a disgusting used comb covered in who knows what that the vet then used to brush my cat without washing it first. No gloves were worn by anyone and at one point the vet was waving an uncapped needle in his hand while also holding a light to look into my cat's eye. Everyone was super rude and unprofessional, our appointment was over an hour late. I wish I could give it zero out of 5 stars, please take your animals literally anywhere else if you can.
