Dr G, and his staff are amazing. They were very caring and passionate. Dr G, explained to me with great patience what is wrong with my , Yorkie Journii. The team there was so nice. Seamus went the extra mile and shared the post care, Journi will need down the road. I would refer this hospital who ever is looking for great care for there animal. You will not be disappointed.

Dr. Gerstenfeld and his staff, Kristy and Seamus (I am SOOO sorry if I'm spelling your names wrong), are so kind, thoughtful, and thorough. This is going to be a long one. 5 months ago, my regular exotics vet was on vacation, and my rabbit had an emergency. She stopped eating and pooping for a whole day, which you know is a bad sign. Their office recommended me to Chestnut Hill and they took my call, and let me come right away. I was very surprised they took me so fast, but I was so so grateful. So I brought my little girl of 12 yrs in, had Dr. G do an exam and everything, but didn't initially find much. His tech, Seamus, was cuddling with Pancakes and found a lump on her head. It was pretty big a firm, so now we got something to work with. Dr. G did lay out a list of things I could decide to get done to check her out further if I wanted, such as blood work, x-rays, so I basically settled on all of the above besides physical therapy. Turns out, Pancakes has GI stasis, so they immediately got to work to help her along. Plus cultures and whatever else needed to be done. I definitely learned a lot since she was my 1st rabbit and her 1st time getting GI. And his staff was so kind and patient to explain and walk me through whatever I didn't know. After a few hours, took her home, and followed their instructions to a T and she got better. They truly do care about animals, because they wanted to keep tabs on any progress, or help along the way over the phone. And I'm very appreciative of that. Anyway, couple weeks later, I'm guessing likely due to my rabbit 's immune system was weakened, she started to show signs of a vestibular infection. Her movements were affected, and everything was just off. She was put on various medications, which helped for a bit, but I think her weakened state, arthritis, inner ear infection, and old age was too much on her little 12 year old body. It was very sad to see her slowly deteriorate, but I made sure to keep her stable as much as I could with the help of the hospital. It was a long journey for her with multiple visits and various checkups. A couple months later, sadly, on her last day, she seized and passed away. I called the hospital and they helped me set up for her cremation as I brought her in. The staff here were very compassionate and professional. I can't speak highly enough of everyone, and everybody is so friendly. This line of work is not always easy. And them maintaining professionalism and being so caring and thoughtful is something I appreciate very much. I've gone through multiple vet hospitals due to moving so many times, and they have been the best I've brought my animals to, because I see how deeply they care about animals. On another note, I've also brought my cat here, who kept having coughing fits. He was diagnosed with bronchitis after it was revealed via x-ray, and Dr. G put him on herbal medication. Plus him and his staff were recommending that I change out his old furniture, possibly my old furniture, diet, and various other things around the house. Threw away my cat Peter's old and dusty things and his coughing miraculously went away. Somehow I didn't even think to do these kinds of things but he's definitely improved. So I'll definitely be back with my cat, and whenever I get my little bun's remains when it's ready. All in all, this is an amazing place. Thank you Dr. G and staff!

Dr. G and his staff are some of the nicest people I have ever dealt with. My hamster had a large mass that would not stop growing and Dr. G reassured me that they could take it off. Surgery went well and she did great. Unfortunately she started developing some sort of nasty cheek issue (days later) and of course I went right back to Dr. G. They welcomed me in even when I stopped by hours before my appointment. They are currently trying to figure out what the issue is and Pringle is with them as I type. :) They are kind, thoughtful, patient, and really take the time to figure out what is going on with your pet. There is no funny business and they are honest! Dr. G has explained everything so thoroughly to me each step of the way. He and his staff are so genuine and really just made me feel at ease. I highly recommend CHVH to anyone especially those with little pets! Thank you, Dr. G & Staff!!!

Dr. G and his team are amazing! I have a reptile, a leopard gecko named Tootsie, and Dr. G is the second vet I have visited to help with an eating issue. Just for a comparison, the first vet I went to felt extremely rushed (he saw multiple animals at once) and was very intimidating (not very sympathetic to my pet's issue). The solution my previous vet gave me ended up hurting my baby more so I was very nervous to seek out another vet. Dr. G and his team are the complete opposite. They see each animal one at a time, are informative, and truly care about each pet! From my past experience, I was scared to give Tootsie antibiotic injections (she is a special case) and they let me bring her in every three days for them to give her the medicine instead of me. My girl is still a WIP but the entire team is very dedicated to getting her better and I am so happy I chose to go here! I wish i did from the beginning.

Showed up on their doorstep without an appointment with an injured pet bird. They helped right away and spent an hour fixing her up. Great vet, especially for birds!
