This is such a great shelter. The animals are so well taken care of , each with very clear indices and detail sheets. My partner adopted from here 3 years ago and our cat is fake. Now we're looking for a second cat and I would love to adopt from this place over any other.

The best experience ever. I have had to bring my pets there. Service is amazing, doctors and staff that work there are very kind and treat them with love. My dog never eats treats, but one of the vets gave it to him and he was so comfy eating and greeting him. They really care about the pets health not about the money. So compassionate ❤️😻🐶 Amazing!!! I only have words to say thanks.

This office lacks consistency in care - vets don’t stay more than a few months, so it’s challenging to establish a relationship or receive consistent care. Some listen and help. Some dismiss and don’t. It’s hit or miss. I stopped bringing my pet after I was told to give my dog four medications (two of which don’t work) for his appointment anxiety for a nail clip. When I shared concern over this dosing and volume of medication, instead of listening and addressing my concern I was told I’d still pay for the appointment if my pet was not able to be seen. I’ve recently switched to Boston Veterinary Clinic in the Seaport and wish I had switched earlier. There’s a strong difference in care - the new vet specializes in pets with appointment fear, they listen and help navigate concerns, they’re responsive and their office is much cleaner and calmer. My dog is not anxious there the way he was in the Boston Veterinary Care environment which says a lot. I’m not able to recommend Boston Veterinary Care for anyone who wants the best care for their pet.

My wife and I visited here for the first time looking to possibly meet a new family member that would be compatible with our current one. We have a 1 year old and would love for him to grow up like we did with animals. My wife had seen a dog she was interested in seeing if it was still available. While the person helping us went to the back to see what the status was with the pup I asked the other staff member with the nose ring kindly if we could possibly see the 2 kittens in the cage directly at the end of the aisle as we are not certain if we want a dog or cat. I was asked if we were going to adopt both a dog and cat and I replied we are not sure yet which is why we’re here! We were denied interaction with the cats because we “weren’t sure we wanted to adopt them yet” and “once we know we want to adopt them then we can see them” and “because we didn’t have a litter box we’re not ready to adopt”. We were both astonished at this over the top rudeness. I normally would move right along but I think this matter should be addressed. Isn’t their job to find these animals homes?!? This whole experience took something that we’re doing out of love of animals but with careful consideration to our baby at home and turned it into something very ugly and unprofessional. The animals deserve better!

Took my cat here for an intake to get him neutered. The staff loved on him the same way that I do and he warmed up immediately to vet tech Ryan and vet Dr. Williams. They were kind, patient, warm, and welcoming. Draco received a clean bill of health while feeling cared for and respected.
