Over the past decade Premier has saved our dogs & cats lives more than 4 times! And on the rare and sad occasion of our senior pets passing they’ve also been there with the utmost compassion and dignity. As a veterinary medical hospital/ER they are top notch A+. As a pet parent for over 30 years I have had many critical moments and the experienced staff (Dr. Heather Snyder in particular) have brought us both the relief and the comfort that I believe no other clinic or DVM could in all of Northern Illinois. The facility itself is very modern and well equipped to handle nearly everything and anything. Maybe even more important to me is the personal care my pets have received in the capable hands of the medical staff and support team lead by Doctor Snyder who in my view has the highest integrity in her field. Another remarkable feature is the absolute clear & concise way in which everything was explained to me and then maybe even more impressive was the follow-up call(s) she took her valuable time to make to see how my cat was doing and going over more of the visit’s finer details when clearly we had come and gone already. Heather is one of the best DVMs’ I have dealt with. Premier is NOT just an emergency room for your pets, it’s simply the only choice when time is crucial and actual highly qualified critical skilled care is required. If this section of the review would allow it I’d give it 6 STARS not merely five! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our 9-yr old Airedale Terrier got attacked on a Saturday evening by a dog that slipped its leash and had 6 or more puncture wounds on his right foreleg. Didn’t want to take a chance and weight to our regular Vet on the following Monday - so we went to Premier Vet Emergency We were seen right away and the doctors and staff were all wonderful and very good to our Griffith. He’s recovering well with no infection. Thank you!

Fantastic clinic, very caring staff. Walked in and was greeted in 2 mins. Took Dexter in back and ran blood tests right away. Didn't have to wait long to consult with a doctor. Highly recommend for emergency services. Previous night another ER vet diagnosed ketones in his blood - leading to ketoacedosis. This vet also diagnosed a slew of other issues that were incurable. They offered to check him in at the Bannockburn hospital but gave a grim overview of chances of survival and what that might look like. After sobbing my heart out I had to say goodbye to my handsome guy - their compassionate way of handling the matter including the private room with a couch and allowing me to take my time as needed, was extremely helpful in allowing me to process this terrible trauma. Dexter passed quietly in my arms and I have his cremains and a ceramic paw print to remember him by. RIP Deckies.

I can’t say enough good things about this vet office. From the moment we walked in, everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They saw us right away, which was such a relief, and were very upfront and transparent about costs; There were no surprises at all. The vet was extremely attentive and communicative, taking the time to explain everything and answer all of our questions. Most importantly, they did everything they could to make my dog comfortable and help him feel better. Thanks to their care and dedication, my dog is now doing much better. I’m so grateful and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a vet who truly cares.

I am so grateful for Dr. Heather and her staff at Premier Veterinary Group! This morning, they took my puppy in immediately after she ingested something she shouldn’t have (as puppies sometimes do 🥺). This fantastic, group of emergency professionals cared for my puppy like she was their own family member!
