I cannot thank this veterinary team enough for saving Raymond’s (my dog) life after a severe Rottweiler bite. From the moment I rushed through the door, the entire staff acted with urgency, compassion, and incredible skill. They immediately stabilized my dog, kept me informed every step of the way, and handled an extremely frightening situation with absolute professionalism. Dr Cepero and his staff's expertise was extraordinary. They treated my dog with such gentleness and precision, addressing not only the visible wounds but the infection that he had. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – Truly the Best Care for Pets! My family has trusted Animal Care & Surgical Hospital for years with Dr. Cepero —my dad always brought his pitties here when I was younger. Now that I’m living on my own with my own fur babies, I don’t hesitate to bring them here for anything, whether it’s a simple check-up, vaccines, or even surgery. I recently brought in my pitbull, SuNi, for his annual vaccinations, and everything went smoothly as always. The staff handled him with so much care and professionalism. Today, I brought in a rescued cat that was suffering from seizures, and once again, the compassion and expertise of the vets amazed me. They go above and beyond to make sure every animal gets the best care possible. There truly is no care for your pets like the care you’ll find here. They treat every animal like family, and it gives me so much peace of mind knowing my babies are in their hands. 10/10 – Always recommend Animal Care & Surgical Hospital!

We’ve been coming to this animal hospital for 7 years with our three dogs and two cats, and sadly it no longer feels like the place we trusted for so long. The team we relied on for years is completely different now, and it feels no different than any regular veterinary clinic. Dr. Randy Dominguez performed surgery for my cat and he was excellent. Our family also truly admired Dr. Cepero. He was an outstanding doctor with reasonable pricing and genuine care. However, Dr. Cepero has been gone for the past few months, and the experience since then has changed significantly. With the new doctor we met, it started to feel like the focus shifted more toward charging extra rather than what is truly necessary. We were encouraged to pay for things we didn’t need, and it created a feeling that money comes first, which broke our trust. What also shocked me was the pricing difference compared to last year. For the annual vaccines and treatment for my dog’s chronic infection, we paid a little over $500 last year. This year, just last month, we ended up paying around $900 for the same type of visit and care. For example, Prednisone 5 mg is about $5 for 30 tablets on Chewy, but here we were charged $35 for just 5 tablets. Also, even though I told them I already have ear cleaning solution at home, they still sold us a $24 lotion. When signing, it was listed under “medication,” so it was difficult to question it in the moment. I never used to feel this way about this hospital, and it’s disappointing after so many years. If Dr. Cepero does not return soon, we will be switching to another veterinary clinic.

I went to this hospital to get a second opinion on my dog. They told me my dog needed emergency surgery which I scheduled. They were pushing for me to do the surgery the same day but I explained I had a preplanned trip. During my trip, my sons helped me care for my dog who started to progressively get better. I called to postpone the surgery to see if the improvement was consistent. After my dog improved, I called the office to cancel the surgery. I was unable to get a hold of them during the holidays. At the end of December someone told me that they would return my call because "they were very busy". I finally got a hold of someone who said my money was nonrefundable. I strongly encourage everyone to please be cautious when going to this hospital as their interests are more financial than actually helping animals. I will continue to dispute this charge as everyone knows that care for animals is very expensive and for people to take advantage is unfathomable.
