What can you say to a TEAM OF SPECIALISTS who have saved your best friend in the world? This is a long review but ,,,,,,,,,,if you are considering to have a surgical procedure on your dog, im writing this review for YOU to read and hopefully it will help you. Dr Carpenter does not need this review but i also want to thank him and his team. Teddy is in month 2 s/p Teer procedure for treatment of MItral valve prolapse and secondary heart failure and enlarged heart . HE WAS NOT DOING WELL AND WOULD HAVE DIED if not for Dr Carpenter and his team, THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH !!! i am a physician myself and understand how delicate this surgery is and the skill level that is required but, i never expected to see an entire team of specialists all working to save and help my pet. Special thanks to this team (see below). In addition to the main doctor, Dr Carpenter who is the primary cardiovascular surgeon, i interacted and spoke w many of these people below, they are not only talented but also extremely kind and compassionate, it was a very difficult time for me and my family and they understood this and could not have treated us better. What most pppl do not know is that VETERINARY MEDICINE IS HARDER AND MORE COMPETITIVE to not only be accepted and graduate from medical school , but to become a surgeon or other speciality is extremely difficult, (these doctors know both human and animal medicine) , is HARDER THAN "allopathic" or traditional medicine. Also, typically VETS earn LESS revenue so these specialists are truly animal and dog lovers and are not motivated by money like many doctors, i have the highest respect for them. IF this procedure were performed on a HUMAN , the cost would be exponentially HIGHER, maybe even cost prohibitive if it were not covered by insurance. For the amount of work and the amount of team members involved (8 physicians and surgeons !!!, not to mention the nurses and support team) ,,,,,,,the fee is MORE THAN FAIR, i rarely say that about fees and costs. Also, important to know that,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,this TEER procedure is relatively new but effective ,,,,,,,,,,Dr Carpenter will tell you honestly if he believes he can help you,,,,,,,,,,he was warning me that i am waiting a bit too long and continued to take my repetitive calls where i asked the same questions over and over bc i wanted to be 100% sure i was doing the right thing,,,,,,,,, if his condition worsened, there would not have been an option,,,,,,,,,,,Im thankful i listened to him There are only few physicians worldwide (if i am not mistaken) who are even doing the procedure, Know the facts about Dr Carpenter and team,,,,,,,,,,they have the highest success rate at different intervals post op, lowest complication rates, and highest success rates. Anyway, thank you to the entire team !!! I took my dog there for further work up and treatment of his heart condition. The facility is nice and well kept. Staff is organized and friendly! Beyond that, the doctor did an echo and allowed me to stay with my dog the whole time. He explained everything thoroughly and went over treatment options. My dog is doing much better!! Plus, I feel like their prices are fair and direct. 10/10 recommend these Doctors and this clinic for any animal that needs extra loving on their heart. ❤️

Dr. John Hertzer is a great cardiologist. I have a Doberman with some heart issues. Our pup gets echocardiograms to check his heart to see if it is functioning properly, on an average about every 6 months. Dr. Hertzer is very informative and caring. The vet assistant's are super friendly and have a way of making the visit stress free. Manager very kind as well, Front end is ran very efficiently. It’s great knowing our fur baby is well taking care of.

From the moment we walked in we were treated with such kind professionalism. This is a well choreographed practice. All of the employees communicate via earpieces in a calm efficient manner. The staff, nurse, and Dr John in Hertzer were all fantastic. The first time my husband and I were allowed in the examining room Zoey. Dr Hertzer took the time to explain every detail of Zoey’s health to us. We appreciated all the kindness that was shown to us.
