Dr. Luttgen , performed surgery on my yellow Lab who had a herniated disc and had lost the use of his back legs. I found her after several other vets told me there was nothing that could be done and he would have to be put down. Her surgery was a great success and he lived 5 more great years with me , eventually hiking, swimming and running . She is a pro. Trust her knowledge and skill.

I went to Dr. Luttgen looking for a 2nd opinion on an MRI and she told me the MRI I brought to her was of such poor quality that she would need to to her own in order to give me a diagnosis. She criticized the education and training of the neurologist who performed the MRI, going so far as to research her online right in front of me, and tell me stories about what an awful person the doctor under whom she trained was. Further, AFTER I'd already had Dr. Luttgen do the second MRI, another neurologist confirmed that my original MRI was, in fact, diagnostic, making the 2nd one unnecessary. To top it all off, Dr. Luttgen left the catheter in my dog's leg without telling me, apparently in hopes of convincing me to have her perform surgery immediately. When I called her the next morning to tell her she'd left it in, she actually laughed and simply dismissed it as a mistake. In my attempts to seek reimbursement for the unnecessary MRI, Dr. Luttgen made several statements about myself and my experience with her that are blatant lies. Do not take your pets her. She has no qualms about lying to or about you.
