There's a vet much closer to me than VCA Park Hill but I make the trek to VCA anyways because they're amazing! Dr. Baxter in particular is absolutely wonderful; she's so friendly and chipper and compassionate. They helped my dog through so many issues and were very compassionate when I had to put him to sleep. I always felt like he was very cared for and in great hands.

We took our girl Daisy to VCA Park Hill after a growth on her spleen was detected at VEG. In a very scary and stressful time, the VCA Park Hill staff were kind, knowledgeable, and took their time to answer a million questions from us while we decided how to proceed. Once we decided to proceed with surgery (standard care), booking was a breeze (we scheduled it for the next day) and we received the clearest printed instructions on how to pre Daisy and care for her after the surgery. Daisy is recovering well even though she did make quite the scene at VCA Park Hill upon pickup (she's a beagle, it's her culture). Thank you especially to Christopher at the front desk, Dr. Baxter who helped us know everything we can, Dr. Pradhan who performed Daisy's surgery and followed up to know how she'd doing, Chris Strand who took care of Daisy on her big day, and Kaleb who explained Daisy's care so clearly and didn't take her hallway meltdown personally.

Rude receptionist. She literally called me “honey” in a condescending way. Combative from the second sentence. My husband, our 2 dogs, and I just moved to the neighborhood. My dog is mildly sick with some tummy issue and they are the closest vet, so I called to see if they could get him in the next day or maybe the day after. Without asking me when I wanted to bring him in, the receptionist said, “Well we can’t fit him in tonight (not my intention) And tomorrow I wouldn’t be able to get him in until late in the day (and made some noises indicating the calendar was full and she was annoyed).” I explained that I don’t think it’s an emergency so later tomorrow or the next day is fine and offered to drop him off so the vet can see him in between appointments, which was offered at the vet hospital we moved away from. That’s when she said, “Honey, We cannot do that. We haven’t seen your dog before!” The honey…so condescending. Really…referring to your clients as “honey”…what the living…. Look, we juuussst moved here. I haven’t even found a new primary care provider for me, let alone a vet for my dog. The situation doesn’t warrant an emergency room visit. Funny thing, I used to work in the veterinary industry. And a bad receptionist can kill a good clinic.

Our pup was too excited to play in the snow during our last storm. Unfortunately, she cracked a toe nail badly. I reached out to VCA and they had an appointment for us that afternoon. Everyone was so kind and sweet to both me and the pup. Though she’s a very anxious dog at the vet, they handled it very well. They removed the nail, bandaged her up, and we were on our way home. They were wonderful to work with and I am so thankful they were there to help my pup when we got so much snow. Great team of wonderful people!

I have been taking my two cats to VCA Park Hill for several years now. We have never had a bad experience!! The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and soooo patient with our incredibly anxious and grouchy babies! As far as pricing, I have no way to really gauge if they're expensive or not. What I do know, however, is that I trust they will provide the best and most appropriate care for my cats. Thank you so much, Dr. Baxter and VCA Park Hill!!
