People were very nice, accommodating, very thorough in their examinations of our pets. Helpful in explaining the diagnosis and treatment. When medication was required actually told us were we could go if we wanted to pay a cheaper price for the medication. Found it was actually better to buy from them as other options required a greater time commitment, unless you were going that way already.

We had such a great experience bringing our French bulldog in for his first wellness visit! The entire staff was so caring, patient, and respectful. Our pup is pretty shy when it comes time for vet appointments, but they made him feel comfortable right away and handled him so gently. We also really appreciated how transparent they were with pricing — they provided a full list of costs before anything was done, and we never felt pressured into extra services or treatments. It made the whole experience stress-free and reassuring for us as first-time visitors. Highly recommend this clinic if you’re looking for a kind, trustworthy team that truly cares about your pets!

I am deeply disappointed with the lack of professionalism at this clinic. After being a high-spending client, I was met with extreme disrespect from a staff member who ultimately hung up on me. When I attempted to resolve this with management and the doctor, they dismissed my concerns, citing the employee’s 15-year tenure as an excuse for her behavior. Most concerningly, they withheld my pet’s medical records until I informed them I was retaining an attorney, at which point they were provided immediately. This is a violation of CA Business and Professions Code § 4855. If you value professional communication and easy access to your pet's health history, I suggest looking elsewhere. I have filed a formal complaint with the California Veterinary Medical Board.

My cat vas very ill and everyone from the front desk, to the nurse Kayla, to Dr. John Doherty were just as wonderful as they could be. I felt I was offered just the right amount of services to be able to feel we all did what we could for little Selkie, my cat. They are definitely my new cat carers for my other cat Phoebe and Selkie’s palliative care. A big thank you for the sweet warm confort.

My dog had an emergency & they wasted no time getting her in between patients for Dr. Jon to examine her. He is kind & thorough & talked to us about options. His staff is excellent. They are caring & graciously helped carry her back & forth from my car. The even called me afterwards to personally check on her progress. I would wholly recommend Oceanside Veterinary Hospital to anyone Their efficiency & caring meant everything to me. I have been using their services for a number of years & they always take good care of me.
