My sweet baby Joey experienced some trembling and I took him to BrightCare immediately. Dr. Haghnazary saw my boy and along with what I shared happened at home, he quickly determined what Joey could be suffering from. Through tests, MRI and neurology consult, Joey was recently diagnosed with IVDD and needed spinal surgery. Dr. Gorgi (neurologist/neurosurgeon) was absolutely phenomenal. He took the time to patiently answer every question I had, offering not just clarity but also the validation I needed to move forward with confidence in our decision. His compassion and knowledge made all the difference. The entire staff was top-notch—so kind, attentive, and professional. They called me daily to give me updates and emailed me photos of my Joey every morning and night. And I even got to speak to the on-call vet to get his/her clinical assessments as well. Although Joey had to stay at the hospital for a week, I knew he was in the best hands. That peace of mind meant everything to me during such a difficult time. Thank you again to Dr. Gorgi and the amazing team of vets and staff for taking such good care of my baby boy. I’m beyond grateful for the incredible care he received. I’m looking forward to a happy healthy little boy again very soon.

Worst clinic ever—please avoid this place! I took my sick dog here, and they completely failed to figure out what was wrong with him. They kept him overnight on an IV and medications. The next day, I chose to pick him up against the vet's recommendation. As soon as we got home, I noticed a tick on his face. Long story short, my dog had over 25 ticks on him. When I took him to his regular vet, they immediately diagnosed him with a tick-borne illness. The clinic vet must not have even examined my dog, because the tick bites were incredibly obvious and easy to see. What a waste of $2500

My sweet doggo injured her front paw on Sunday evening. We rushed her to BrightCare ER vet and they were WONDERFUL! We were seen right away, the staff were absolutely lovely, and the office is clean and very well maintained. The doctor was so friendly and took the time to explain everything to us in detail; then the assistant went over the possible expenses before we signed. I was very impressed with the low cost of care given they are a 24 hour emergency office! We got our sweet girl back quickly, she was treated with love and care by everyone there. We will definitely be back for all our emergency animal needs, and with 4 animals in our family, it's bound to happen sooner or later. Definitely 5 stars and 👍🏻👍🏻

From the moment we brought our dog into BriteCare on a Sunday morning after he had a seizure, we knew he was in caring and capable hands! The staff took him right back and led us to a room where we could wait. The staff checked on us and provided updates every ten minutes until the dr came in to talk to us. He was wonderful and patiently answered all our questions. Our dog is a very spoiled Covid puppy that we love more than the world and he had never spent a night away from home. The staff greatly reduced our worries over leaving him and told us to cal at anytime day or night for an update. We went to visit him Monday and the staff had a room all set up for us with his name on the door and blankets laid out on the floor. It was our great luck that BriteCare is also a veterinary neurological center with imaging equipment, lab and neurologists on staff. After a battery of tests ruling out the more scary diagnosis, he was diagnosed with epilepsy and came home Tuesday. The staff was unfailingly kind and patient with us and our spoiled pup! While his stay was not cheap, I felt that charges were within reason. I highly recommend investing in pet insurance for just this kind of emergency! I can’t recommend BriteCare highly enough!

Just under a week ago, my beloved Chihuahua Valentine was struggling to breathe, and I called BrightCare Veterinary Emergency Hospital at 11:02 pm. No answer so I left a message and drove her over to BrightCare. I did not receive a call back. Valentine had been a Neurology patient of BrightCare for about 5 years. When we arrived to BrightCare Emergency Hospital, I rang the doorbell and they let me in. I explained my dog was in need of oxygen. They took her to the back and said she was given oxygen. The Tech working with a beard told me he needed $1,500 right away. I said I had about $300, and said we’ve been coming there for years. Also BrightCare would in the past get a pre-approval from my pet insurance and charge me my portion. This Tech lacked the empathy that is promised on the BrightCare website. I was filling out the necessary paperwork, and the Tech took me into a room where he advised they no longer take my pet insurance. Mind you my dog was still in a medical emergency. The heartless Tech wasted even more time with me in this damn room. He gave me the name of another vet hospital 17 miles away in Irvine, gave me my dog back, and sent us away. I was alarmed and disgusted. I was stressed out and he made it even worse! My first priority was to get my dog the necessary care she was in desperate need of receiving to save her life. I left and when I called the place in Irvine, they said not to come so far, and to go to another animal hospital near where I was. So I arrived at the next animal emergency hospital, and my dog was now loosing her life. They took her, and said her heart rate was very low. They then gave me paper work to fill out. Three minutes later, the Tech came back and said my little one had passed. I was in disbelief and so angry. If BrightCare had helped my Valentine in the first place instead of focusing on the money/cost, she might have lived. They wasted my time while my sweet dog suffered gasping to breathe. I do not recommend anyone that cares for their pet family member to ever trust the precious life of their animal to BrightCare Emergency Animal Hospital in Mission Viejo. I trusted them and when we needed them the most, they cared about money only. Just a side note, I always paid for the services without issue. I called BrightCare two days later to share my disgust of their treatment of us. I was told by the Manager that she would speak to the Manager of the Emergency Hospital, and follow up with me. Next day, I received flowers from Valentine’s Doctor at BrightCare apologizing for not being there when we needed them most. Nice gesture, but what we needed was for them to deliver the care they promise to deliver to the pets. Not sign my pet’s death sentence by sending us away and not administering care. BEWARE of BRIGHTCARE!
