I’ve been with VCA for years and it got rocky there for a bit, but we stayed when Dr. Lai came on board. He has the patience of a saint. Not only do I have two big pita dogs with miles of issues, I’m sure I can be a bit of a pita myself because I want to know. I want to know what he’s doing, why he’s doing it, probable outcomes…. I’ve been singed a bit in the past with other vets (and I probably border OCD (or some other personality malfunction)) but he always answers my questions in detail – and in a language I can understand. I really hope VCA treats him well and he stays forever.. or at least for the duration of my dogs.

We used to use this vet for my family dog for years when I was a kid. I made an appointment, thinking they would likely still be trustworthy. During the online booking there is no information saying a deposit is required. They called me the day before demanding almost $200 deposit by 6pm or they'll cancel the appointment. I informed them this was too short of notice since I work out of town until the evening. That I don't normally make unexpected payments over the phone. She cancelled and hung up. I don't consider this to be professional or reassuring. I do not respond well to threats. If that's how they are there's NO WAY I'll trust them to even take my pet's temperature let alone do any kind of procedure on them. I was looking for eventual dental services. They lost a big bill by acting like loan sharks instead of vets. If you want a deposit, ask for it when we're booking. Otherwise, the business looks like a scam!

Dr Lai is great! Our newly adopted dog from the shelter was having some diarrhea so we brought her in for a regular exam and to check in on the tummy issues. He prescribed some special food that's easy on the tummy and she got sick during the visit, so he gave us some anti-nausea stuff too. They closed up, and then the poor thing had bloody diarrhea outside before we were about to drive home, so I ran back in and asked if we should order some different medication or anything -- Dr Lai. came out with us to take a look, then collected a sample himself so he could run the fecal test. (Mind you they were already closed on a Friday at this point!) They sent us on our way with a pre/probiotic. Turns out the poor thing had Giardia! The office helped me to make sure we ordered the right prescription and dosage for it. She's doing wonderfully now, no tummy problems! Thank you for fixing her up! Dr Lai was patient and nice to our sweet new girl, and answered all our new-dog-owner questions! Also brought our cat here, and they are all always are so gentle with him and patient with all our questions. They are always very clear on what they can offer, pricing, and its always no-pressure to add services. Love it here!
