We are new to the area and this is our first vet for our Poodle. Luckily it worked out well, receptionist was cooperative and the doc was super gentle. Will visit again and hope this experience continues. Happy pet, happy wife, happy life 🙂

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was deeply disappointing. I contacted this clinic while researching the cost of obtaining an international health certificate for travel to Europe with my dog. Because this certificate must be issued shortly before travel and can be expensive, I was comparing prices across several clinics. During my initial call, the staff member was dismissive and told me they could not provide any estimate over the phone, which already differed from every other clinic I contacted. After I pressed politely, I was given a broad estimate of $400–$700, supposedly depending on vaccination needs. Since my puppy already has the required rabies vaccination for Germany, I asked whether they could confirm the expected cost with the veterinarian. They later called back and stated the price would be $650 for the USDA certificate plus a $90 visit fee, totaling $740. This was surprising because the final price exceeded the maximum of the range they themselves had provided, even though no additional vaccinations were required. When I pointed this out, the response was simply “yes.” The inconsistency in pricing and the dismissive communication left me feeling misled rather than helped. Seems like the policy is "Bait and Switch".

I came here about two weeks ago and my first impression of the place was everyone was nice and they were able to respond fast to my cat peeing on everything but what threw me off guard from the start was they didn’t take my cats weight, right, no big deal. Then one of the assistants took my cat to get a urine sample from her, again no big deal, when he brought her back he was laughing and saying they were “messing” with her in the back but couldn’t get any urine out and told me I would have to get a sample myself at home. I looked at my cat and she was teary-eyed. Something felt wrong but I didn’t say anything, but “messing” with her in what way. My cat is very antisocial and she doesn’t warm up to strangers quickly so I doubt she was being “playful” with any of them, they then sent me to the front and provide me with antibiotics but they didn’t explain what it was for or how it needed to be taken, the girl at the front said the test results for the urine sample would take a few days. I told her that previous assistant stated they didn’t get a urine sample and she stated they did but still provided me with a cup to get a sample and bring it back in, and I did. I went back the next day with the sample. Flash forward to today, I’ve called on multiple occasions to get the test results for the urine sample they made ME get and the girls at the front have been rude and all the keep telling me is someone is going to call me back or the doctor isn’t there but no one has called to give me no type of update. They keep putting me on a “call back list” and for the amount that I paid you’d think they could AT LEAST GIVE ME A CALL BACK. At first I really did think of switching veterinary offices but it’s clear that I will not be doing that at all. Oh and let me add that their “antibiotics” did not even work.

We came to this hospital for a second time just to do routine check for our cat and do her regular shots. It was terrible experience from beginning. Reception lady was rude. They found our records and remembered that our cat was quite scared of shots. They told that could not manage our cat, they proposed to take her to another room, where we were not allowed to follow, they would try to do a shot, but if she bite anyone, they would call her rabid and put her down! So basically they were not capable to do their job and just told that would kill our cat if something go wrong. We were shocked and just took a cat and went away. Today we came to another clinic, where they did shots in 10 mins and we were done. St. Francis Vet Hospital not just didn’t helped us, but traumatized by their cruelty.
